General Instructions

All submissions must be original manuscripts that have not been published elsewhere. There is no page or word restriction in Landscape Online. But manuscripts should be as precise and comprehensive as possible. Moreover, illustrations by photos, tables, figures and animations are recommended. Landscape Online aims to put emphasis on the fact that all graphs and figures are published in color. Authors should use the option of high quality multimedia. The language of manuscripts can be English or any other language for which referees can be obtained. But at least, abstract and captions of figures and tables must also be in English.

Original Articles

Original Articles summarize and examine in-depth important aspects of landscape research both, a specific project or a theory on landscape. There is no further regulation as to the structure of the article. But all articles should have a clear scientific structure.

Mini-Reviews

Mini-Reviews give a critical overview of recent publications and comprehensive state-of-the-art knowledge on a specific topic. Mini-Reviews elaborate major research questions, indicate research gaps, and suggest future research directions. Unlike classical reviews, the scope of a Mini-Review refers to a much smaller topic area. Typically, these Mini-Reviews correspond to the framework of e.g. PhD-thesis.

Ideas

Ideas present new concepts, methodologies, approaches, or theoretical aspects that should be further discussed within the scientific community. There are no restrictions to the structure of Ideas presented, but submissions must clearly present what the novelty is. Ideas need to be well derived from recent literature. Furthermore, advantages and disadvantages of the presented Idea must be discussed.
